Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the SpecHive cloud service at app.spechive.dev or the spechive.dev website (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms apply to the SpecHive cloud service. The self-hosted open-source version of SpecHive is governed by its own license (AGPL-3.0) and is not subject to these Terms.
2. Service Description
SpecHive is a test reporting and observability platform. The cloud service receives test results from your CI pipelines via the SpecHive reporter, stores them, and provides a dashboard for analysis including test history, flaky test detection, artifact storage, and cross-project analytics.
3. Accounts
You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service.
- Upload malicious content, viruses, or harmful code through the reporter or any other means.
- Use the Service to store data unrelated to test reporting (the Service is not general-purpose storage).
- Resell or redistribute access to the Service without our written consent.
5. Intellectual Property
The SpecHive open-source platform is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 (AGPL-3.0). You may use, modify, and distribute the open-source code in accordance with that license.
The SpecHive cloud service includes proprietary extensions that are not covered by the AGPL-3.0 license. The Service's branding, design, and proprietary code are the property of SpecHive and may not be copied or reused without permission.
You retain ownership of all test data you submit to the Service. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of operating the Service.
6. Payment Terms
The Free tier is available at no cost within the published usage limits. The Pro tier requires a paid subscription at the published rate, billed monthly via Stripe.
Pro plans include base usage allowances. Usage beyond the included allowances is billed at the published overage rates, calculated at the end of each billing period. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law.
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' written notice. Price changes do not apply retroactively to the current billing period.
7. Service Availability
We strive to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We may perform maintenance that temporarily reduces availability.
The Free tier does not include a service level agreement (SLA). Paid plans may include availability commitments as separately published.
8. Data and Privacy
Our collection and use of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Termination
You may close your account at any time through the dashboard or by contacting us. Upon account closure, your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, if your payment is overdue, or if we reasonably believe your use of the Service poses a security risk. We will attempt to notify you before taking action except in urgent circumstances.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SpecHive shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the website at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. General
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and SpecHive regarding the Service. If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
